Nike have officially launched the Ronaldinho signature line, also known as the 10R Collection.

Ronaldo de Assís Moreira, better known to football fans as Ronaldinho, has been awarded the FIFA World Player of the Year Award twice, the European Footballer of the Year award twice and the FIFPro World Player of the Year twice. Who better than to help the Nike team design a football boot? The Nike Tiempo Ronaldinho has been developed on the foundations of the well recommended Nike Air Legend football boot.

Ronaldinho suggested that his ideal football boot should have a longer Vamp (the bit above the toes) and a smooth medial side (the bit on the inside of the toe) for improved ball control.

The heel is lined with supple leather to allow comfort for the full 90 minutes. The extended fold over tongue not only improves comfort but covers the laces for a clean strike surface. It is secured with Velcro to allow clean contact with the ball.

Outsole & Sockliner

Ronaldinho learned his trade playing 5 a side and beach football where you keep the ball under your feet longer and you dribble with more speed and control. He claims ball control is one of the most essential parts of the game and wanted to design his boots to reflect that.

So Nike designed the outsole and studs to match his game. The studs offer textured thermo-plastic urethane tips for better ball control and superior traction. And the outsole offers midfoot and rear stability coupled with three distinct forefoot flex-groove areas for maximum comfort, control and flexibility.

The full-length PEEVA sockliner with Poron inserts provides a low to ground feel, with great cushioning, enhancing balance. There is also a high-density EVA arch support.

Style

The Nike Tiempo Ronaldinho football boot has a polished black leather as if you're going to play like a super star you should look like one! Detailed stitching is found around the football boot which further enhances its esthetic appeal. The three colour stitching represents the pillars of 10R style - joy, samba and family. The boot features gold detailing and signature.
