Shopping For Jelly Beans Jelly
Beans are a popular favourite and there
are several varieties to choose from. A
Quarter Of, the online sweet shop, sell
Assorted Gourmet Jelly Beans,
Assorted Gourmet Jelly Beans Bucket,
Blueberry Pie Gourmet Jelly Beans,
Caribbean Coconut Gourmet Jelly Beans,
English Blackberry Gourmet Jelly Beans,
Granny Smith Apple Gourmet Jelly Beans and
many more. We have
purchased jelly beans and loads of other
retro-sweets from A Quarter Of for many
years now. Their prices are surprisingly
low and they deliver the sweets really
fast and well-packaged. The
Jelly Beans from A Quarter Of cost
just £1.97 for a quarter of a
kilogram (just over 8.8
ounces). Gourmet
Jelly Beans Each jar
of Gourmet Jelly Beans costs just
£3.57 and contains roughly 200 jelly
beans! A very
popular product is the Jelly Bean Machine
(see picture on left) which is quite
possibly one of the coolest things we've
ever seen. The Jelly Bean Machine is the
real McCoy - a proper, substantial Jelly
Bean dispenser that you see out and about
on the street. It measures a whopping 39cm
x 19cm (15.5'' x 7.5''), and we think it's
the best thing since sliced
bread. Unfortunately,
we've been unable to find a supplier who
currently have these in stock but we're
still looking! One
personal favourite of ours and a flavour
we can highly recommend is
Caribbean
Coconut Gourmet Jelly
Beans.
They are delicious coconut flavour juicy
jelly beans from The Jelly Bean Factory.
Not only do they taste fabulous but they
are also gelatine-free. A Quarter Of sell
them in 125 gram bags (that's an old 1/4
pound plus an extra 10%) so you can either
just enjoy one flavour or you can buy a
couple of bags and make your own
customised selection of your favourite
flavours. A Bit
About Jelly Beans The
interior jelly of Jelly Beans traces its
origin back hundreds of years to a candy
called Turkish Delight, while the shell is
essentially the same as that developed in
the late 19th century for Jordan Almond
candies. The two were brought together
around the beginning of the 20th century.
It was not until 1930 or so that jelly
beans became an Easter candy, presumably
from their resemblance to eggs. The
ingredients that give each bean its
character are also relatively small in
proportion and may vary depending on the
flavor. These include natural and
artificial flavors and colors, and,
depending on the bean flavor, may include
chocolate, coconut, fruit puree or juice,
peanuts, vanilla, oils, cream, or
freeze-dried egg, milk, or fruit
powders. Most
jelly beans are sold as an assortment of
about eight more or less standard fruit
flavors. Assortments of "spiced"
jellybeans and gumdrops are also
available, which include a similar number
of spice and mint flavors. The colors of
jelly beans are also more or less
standardized, and a fairly typical scheme
is shown in the table to the right. Even
horseradish, carrot and tomato variants
exist. Free
